For fifteen years, people who manage projects have come to our sites for articles, templates and examples: first to Escritório de Projetos, in Portuguese, since 2011, and to this site, in English, since 2014. In 2026 that became something else: a community with courses you take on your own project, books, a project management system, mentorship and assessment. Of the 212 articles on this site, 166 were written this year. What was missing was one place to bring it all together, with clear rules about who joins, what they receive and how they contribute.
That place is Project Together Office. On October 12, 2026 this site became its home, at projecttogetheroffice.com. In this document I explain why the Office exists, why it empowers the people in it, where it came from, what is inside it, who is part of it, how it works day to day and how you earn the season certificate.
1. What Project Together Office is
Project Together Office is a new model of project office, where people and artificial intelligence work together. Together they create accelerators and new ways to create value, always aligned with the strategy of each organization.
In this model, each one does what it does best, and everyone grows together. People bring what no machine replaces: knowledge of the business, judgment, the relationship with stakeholders, and the decision. AI helps us build accelerators, the shortcuts that take repetitive work out of the way: they set up the project board, fill in the documents with what you have already decided, propose risks and deliverables for you to assess, and remind you of what is late. The responsibility stays with the person who manages the project.
Project Together Office is also the project management office (PMO) of the Project Together community. In a company, a PMO is the area that provides method, tools, standards and support so that projects happen. Ours does the same, open to professionals from any company, and it brings together:
- the frameworks, that is, the project management methods we created;
- ProjectAdm, our project and task management system;
- the templates and the filled-in example projects;
- the courses, the learning path and the assessments;
- the tools and the books;
- mentorship;
- the roadmap and the history of what we delivered.
It starts from what unites us as a community:
“Projects that deliver value start with teams that grow together.”
“We are Project Together — people who create more value and grow together sustainably, turning ideas into outcomes that matter. We believe projects can build a more fraternal, equal, and free world — using what already exists with greater wisdom, for the deepest impact.”
And it has one sentence of its own: everyone grows together, people and AI, to make projects more human and more valuable.
The name Project Together is never translated: it is the same in English and in Portuguese.
2. Why the Office empowers people
The Office starts from one premise: when people who share the same principles and the same moral and ethical values work together, in a fraternal environment, and use artificial intelligence as wisely as they can, everyone grows. People and AI included.
There are three forces, and each one strengthens the others.
2.1 Shared values
Honesty, commitment, openness, respect, courage, freedom, fraternity and equality are not words on a wall. They are the agreement of everyone who comes in. When you know the other person will tell the truth and keep their promise, you don’t need to spend energy defending yourself. You can show your real project, ask for help without fear of looking small, and take frank criticism knowing it is meant to help. Trust is what speeds up everything else.
2.2 A fraternal environment, of people who want to be better
Whoever comes here wants to become a better professional and a better person, and doesn’t want to walk that road alone: they want to walk it beside people who believe the same. It is what we have said since the first day of the community: you never grow alone.
Here, what one person learns becomes a step for the next one. The error you point out in the PMBOK 8 Practice Test fixes the question for everyone. The suggestion you leave on a card improves the template everyone uses. Well-made criticism becomes the next version of the course. And points measure exactly that: not the time you spent here, but the value you delivered.
2.3 Artificial intelligence used wisely
In the Office you work with two AI assistants. Ours prepares the method, the prompts, the scripts and your board in ProjectAdm. Yours, whichever one you prefer, helps you create your results. The AI proposes, and you decide.
We use AI where it adds a lot: to create, together with you, the shortcuts that take repetitive work out of the way and give you back the time to think, talk and decide. Never to think in your place. That is what our manifesto calls using what already exists with greater wisdom. And AI grows with us too: with every project, people and AI learn to work better together.
2.4 Why this empowers
One of the principles of the PMBOK® Guide, Eighth Edition, is to build an empowered culture. For us, empowering is not giving better orders. It is creating the conditions for each person to decide, to grow and to help the team grow with them. Values give the trust, fraternity gives the support, and AI helps us build the accelerators we create together. The decision is still yours.
That is why we believe the value created here keeps growing: every person who grows helps others grow, and every gain comes back to everyone. It is also why the Office certificate recognizes three things together: what you know, the values you share and what you practice (section 10).
3. Why we created the Office
The Project Together community lives on two sites: projecttogetheroffice.com, in English, and escritoriodeprojetos.com.br, in Portuguese. The content is rich and new things arrive faster and faster. In English, today, you already have:
- 4 free courses, each with a certificate of completion: Project Together — Powered by AI, PMBOK 8 Mastery, Agile Together and BPM Together (all on the courses page);
- the PMBOK 8 Practice Test, which we improve with every error you point out;
- 4 books in English, the Together Series — powered by AI, on Kindle (all on the books page), and 11 more in Portuguese;
- 209 free downloads: templates and filled-in examples, on the downloads page;
- 2 frameworks: the 10 steps and PMBOK 8 Together.
We have practically every way to speed up a project and create more value. What was missing was structure: a project office that makes access easy for everyone, invites engagement and makes real collaboration possible.
So we created Project Together Office. It will bring together many project leaders: project managers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, teachers, PMO professionals, and everyone who wants to make this structure even stronger and able to help each member grow in their projects.
4. Where we come from: the milestones
The Office was not born in a day. It is where many deliveries met over fifteen years. The dates below are publication dates on the sites. When a page changed its name, the date it was born counts.

5. The components
The Office is made of components. Each one is a product, with an owner, and will have its own Product Backlog (the prioritized list of what to improve), acceptance criteria, roadmap and Sprints, to create more value every cycle. Members take part by asking for improvements and validating what comes out. The owner of each component decides the priority.
5.1 Frameworks: the project management methodology
There are two, explained in section 6: the 10 steps (Project Together) and PMBOK 8 Together.
5.2 Project and task management system: ProjectAdm
ProjectAdm is where the project lives: boards, lists, cards, schedule and team. The Together courses set up your project inside it. It is also where the Office works: the announcements, the suggestions and the Pro questions are there.
5.3 Templates and example projects
The templates are blank project management documents aligned with the PMBOK 8 Guide: project charter, risk register, schedule, status report and many others. The example projects are those same documents filled in from start to finish, so you can see what a real project looks like. The Together Kit that comes with each book is free. The Accelerator Kit is paid and brings the complete library and the tools.
5.4 Portfolio
Our own initiatives are managed as a portfolio: each one has its board in ProjectAdm, with the same method we teach. Project Together Office itself is one of those projects.
5.5 Mentorship
Mentorship with me is paid and one-to-one: six weekly meetings in which I follow you while you apply the 10 steps to your project. Today the mentorship program runs in Portuguese.
5.6 Training: courses and the learning path
Our courses are done on your project. In the Together courses, the course prepares the method, the prompts and the scripts, and sets up your board in ProjectAdm. Your AI helps, and the decisions stay yours. The courses, all free:
- Project Together — Powered by AI: the 10 steps to plan, run and close a real project.
- PMBOK 8 Mastery: the 40 processes of the PMBOK 8 Guide, one lesson at a time, by e-mail.
- Agile Together: from the OKR to delivery in 3 Sprints, with Scrum.
- BPM Together: one real process of yours through the five phases of the BPM lifecycle.
The PMBOK 8 Practice Test opens the learning path by topic: first PMBOK 8, then Scrum, then BPM. It is not a PMP exam simulator. It measures how well you master the PMBOK 8 Guide.
5.7 Assessment of the leader and the team
We are building a maturity model for the project leader, with two scores: Knowledge, measured by the PMBOK 8 Practice Test, and Principles and Values, measured by a self-assessment of the project leader. The self-assessment exists in Portuguese and is on its way to English. The 360 assessment, in which other people also answer about you, is still being built. Together with your points, these assessments make up the Project Together Office Certificate (section 10).
5.8 Tools
The Project Together accelerator is the AI tooling that comes with the free courses: prompts and scripts that set up and feed your board. The tools of the complete library are in the Accelerator Kit.
5.9 Books
In English there are four books, the English half of the Together Series — powered by AI, sold on Amazon. Each book applies the method to a real project, and the templates and examples it cites are in its Together Kit.
5.10 Roadmap and delivery history
The roadmap shows what is coming, and the delivery history shows what has been done, with its milestones. Section 4 of this document is the beginning of that history.
6. The frameworks
6.1 Project Together: the 10 steps
It is the complete path of a project, from the why to the value delivered. Each step leaves a document you show to whoever decides.
- Initiate the project (5W2H): why, what, who, how (and where), when and how much. You write the business case, and the rest is built on it: objectives and Key Results (OKR), deliverables, stakeholders, approach, constraints, assumptions, risks, deadline and cost.
- Review the scope.
- Analyze the risks.
- Schedule and budget.
- Review and approve the plan.
- Engage the stakeholders: from where each one is to where they need to be.
- Direct and execute.
- Monitor and write the Status Report.
- Control changes.
- Close and verify the value.
The “how” starts with the development approach, which the PMBOK 8 Guide defines as the means used to create and evolve the product over the life cycle. You answer 5 questions, the axes of the Guide, and choose between two approaches:
- Predictive: WBS and schedule. The milestone is the finished deliverable, and the cost is estimated from the scope.
- Agile: Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog and increment. The milestone is the first useful increment, and the cost is the team’s cost per Sprint.
The PMBOK 8 Guide describes approaches as a spectrum of three: predictive, hybrid and adaptive (agile is a form of adaptive approach). The hybrid mixes the two ends. Today the 10 steps offer the two ends, and the hybrid is on the roadmap (section 12).
In Project Together we speak of steps; in PMBOK 8 Together, of processes.
6.2 PMBOK 8 Together: the 40 processes
It is the PMBOK 8 Guide applied end to end: 6 principles (holistic view, focus on value, embedded quality, accountable leadership, sustainability and empowered culture), 7 domains (governance, scope, schedule, finance, stakeholders, resources and risks) and 40 processes, each with its inputs, tools and techniques, and outputs.
The 40 processes apply to any approach. What changes is the form of some outputs, and the Guide itself shows it: the same process that produces the WBS also lists user stories and the Product Backlog among its outputs. In English, PMBOK 8 Together comes as a course package you download, and PMBOK 8 Mastery takes you through the same 40 processes by e-mail.
6.3 The methods of the other courses
Agile Together (Scrum, from the OKR to delivery in 3 Sprints) and BPM Together (one process through the BPM lifecycle) follow the same logic: you apply it to your real case, with the help of AI, inside ProjectAdm.
7. Who is part of it: the stakeholders
Who receives the value
- Project managers, the main audience, and the other project leaders: Scrum Masters, Product Owners, PMO professionals and teachers.
- Community members who come in through Project Together points.
- Project Together Pro subscribers.
- Readers of the books.
Who does the work
- Eduardo Montes, PMP and PSM I, professor, consultant and author, with 507 projects and 17 PMOs in his career. I sponsor the Office, I own the components and I decide the priorities.
- Henry Douglas, responsible for ProjectAdm and technology.
- AI assistants, who work with me on automation, scripts and content drafts. Everything that reaches you goes through my review.
Who influences
- The PMBOK 8 Guide, the reference for our frameworks. All content about it comes from the Guide itself.
- Amazon, where the books are sold.
- You, the members, with suggestions, criticism and validation.
8. How joining works
To keep it simple, the Office has three layers that add up.
| Layer | What you have |
|---|---|
| Project Together | You join the Project Together Office organization in ProjectAdm and its Project Together portfolio: Start here, Suggestions and improvements, and Announcements. Everyone in this layer is an early adopter: you use and validate first what we launch. |
| ProjectAdm | The ProjectAdm plan in your own account, for a set period. You activate it yourself, through a link. No complimentary access asks for a credit card, whatever the period, and close to the end ProjectAdm sends an e-mail explaining how to continue, if you want to. |
| Project Together Pro | Everything in the ProjectAdm layer, plus your questions answered by me within 1 business day, on the Questions board. The paid subscription also includes the Accelerator Kit. |
Whoever has Pro has ProjectAdm. Having ProjectAdm does not, by itself, mean having Pro.
The ways in
- Project Together points. Every action in the community earns points. At the Reference level (500 points), you receive the invitation to the Office. At the Mentor level (1,000 points), also a mentorship session with me. At the Pioneer level (2,500 points), the session and 1 year of ProjectAdm.
- Project Together Pro, a paid subscription you can cancel whenever you want. We don’t have any openings at the moment. You can join our waiting list, and I will contact you as soon as a spot opens up.
- Limited-time offers: when there are any, they are described in the offer itself, with deadline and number of places.
The first steps after the invitation
- The invitation arrives by e-mail from ProjectAdm itself. It is valid for 7 days.
- Accept the invitation. You go straight into the Project Together portfolio.
- Read the card Welcome to Project Together Office, on the Start here board.
- If you have Pro, your questions go on the Questions board, in the Project Together Pro portfolio.
9. How to contribute
Contributing, here, means:
- asking for improvements and pointing out problems, with a card in the Suggestions and improvements list;
- helping validate what we launch, starting with the PMBOK 8 Practice Test;
- criticizing frankly: well-made criticism is the contribution that pays off most;
- sharing, spreading the word and liking what you think is worth it for other people.
What members don’t do: publish content on the sites. Only the administration publishes on projecttogetheroffice.com and escritoriodeprojetos.com.br. It is a security rule, to protect what we built and the people who read us.
10. Points, the ranking and the certificate
Growing together can also be fun. That is why the Office has a game, with clear rules that are the same for everyone. Two parts are already live in English:
- Points and level. Every action in the community earns Project Together points: answering a quiz, leaving a reflection, downloading a template, coming back to the site. Points define your level: Contributor, Activator, Reference, Mentor and Pioneer. The level is yours forever and keeps your history. You can see everyone on the ranking.
- Assessment. The PMBOK 8 Practice Test measures how well you master the Guide.
10.1 The Project Together Office Certificate
We are bringing these parts together into a season certificate: the Project Together Office Certificate, issued by me on behalf of the Project Together community. It is under construction, and I want it to be worth something in the market, because it proves three things a diploma alone doesn’t:
- You know. The PMBOK 8 Practice Test proves you master the knowledge. Then come the Scrum and BPM CBOK tests, and every topic you master goes into your certificate.
- You share our principles and values. Proven by the project leader self-assessment and by the 360 assessment, in which someone who knows your work answers about you. It isn’t enough that you see yourself this way: the people who work with you need to have the same perception.
- You practice. Proven by what you did in the community during the season: your points. Not a one-day test, but a year of work.
None of the three is enough alone. Knowing without practicing creates no value. Practicing without values builds no trust. And having values without mastering the method leaves the project stranded. The certificate is for whoever brings the three together.
10.2 The criteria, and what exists in English today
The path to the certificate will have three badges, one for each proof, and each one can be earned at any moment of the season. When you complete the three, the certificate is issued right away, with the season and the date. The criteria of each badge are:
- Knowledge: at least 90% on the PMBOK 8 Practice Test. Available in English today.
- Principles and Values: at least 90% in each of the 6 dimensions (Integrity, Commitment to value, Respect for people, Courage and openness, Empowered culture and Holistic view), not on the average. It applies to both assessments: your self-assessment and the assessment of at least one person who knows your work. On its way to English: the self-assessment exists in Portuguese, and the 360 is still being built.
- Practice: at least 500 points in the season, the same number as the Reference level. Your points are already counted in English; the yearly season, which restarts every January 1, is on its way.
The criteria start simple on purpose. As the community grows, we will improve them, and every change will be recorded in the history of this page before it takes effect.
11. Our commitments
- Honesty above all. Nothing we write to you may be false if taken literally: nothing paid called free, no number without measurement, no invented scarcity.
- Privacy. Everyone in the same portfolio sees each other’s cards. So don’t put data from your company there that cannot be seen by other people.
- Response time for questions (Pro). Up to 1 business day. During vacations, announced in advance on the Announcements board, the clock restarts when I am back.
- The values that guide us: honesty, commitment, openness, respect, courage, freedom, fraternity and equality. They are on the values page.
12. What comes next
The Office roadmap, without promised dates. Each item comes in when it is ready and validated:
- a learning path from every page: whoever arrives for a download or a topic finds the next step to grow, from the article to the course, the Practice Test and the Office;
- the level e-mails, the level certificate and the automatic invitation to the Office, in English;
- the project leader self-assessment in English, and then the 360 assessment;
- the yearly season of the ranking, in English;
- the Project Together Office Certificate, with its three badges in your member area;
- the Scrum and BPM CBOK tests, in the same model as the PMBOK 8 Practice Test;
- a Product Backlog per component, with acceptance criteria, roadmap and Sprints;
- in PMBOK 8 Together, completing the agile outputs and, in the book PMBOK 8 in Action, showing in each process what changes in the predictive, agile and hybrid approaches;
- the hybrid approach as a third option in the 10 steps and in PMBOK 8 Together;
- the Project Together Office book, based on this document.
